Constructing Excellence
On Friday 12th September 2003 the Bristol Construction Best Practice Club held its Inaugural Dinner Dance at the Holiday Inn, Bristol.

After a period of three years the club felt it was time to add social events to its already busy diary and following the success of a theatre trip (to see Andrew Carpenter, Club Secretary, in Kiss Me Kate) and a Golf Day this dinner really provided the focal point for the year. Over 80 members and their partners attended and greatly enjoyed the occasion.

The high point of the evening was an excellent speech given by Peter Brown, the recently retired Chief Prosecutor of Wales. His stories and anecdotes had the audience in tears of laughter and anybody requiring a good after dinner speaker should look no further (Secretary Andrew Carpenter will be pleased to pass on contact details).

Dancing afterwards to a 70's and 80's Disco (not performed by Andrew Carpenter we hasten to add, although his new web site is worth a look at www.andrewstjohn.co.uk) completed a most successful and enjoyable evening that will definitely be repeated next year.
